Laurence Aiolfi is Counsel in the Cayman Islands Litigation practice of Mourant Ozannes (Cayman) LLP. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996 and admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2001 and 2014. Mr. Aiolfi has over 25 years of experience as a litigator, 13 years of which have been in the Cayman Islands. He has appeared regularly as an advocate in all divisions of the Grand Court, as well as the Cayman Islands Court of Appeal.
Mr. Aiolfi is primarily in the Financial Services Division where he acts in a range of insolvency, commercial, public law and regulatory disputes. Before that, his career focused on both prosecuting and defending serious organised crime, fraud and financial crime, including corruption, money laundering and regulatory offences.
Mr. Aiolfi holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol. He was appointed as a Member of the Anti-Corruption Commission effective 15 August 2022 for a three-year term.
